“Abgefahren!” is an infographic novel about the mobility transition. It unfolds scientific findings in an innovative form to get more people excited about the success of the mobility turnaround.
Agora Verkehrswende and Ellery Studio undertook the challenge of how information on the transition to clean mobility could be designed in an inspiring and effective way, while generating further interest. The team from Agora Verkehrswende developed scientific arguments for sustainable mobility with their “12 theses on the mobility transition”. In order to allow a wider audience to participate in the discussion on the topic, Ellery Studio created an innovative communication format that makes scientific content accessible and appealing.
Through editorial meetings and several workshops, Ellery Studio, together with the Agora Verkehrswende team from science, politics, business and administration, developed the basic features of a new type of communication format and its content. Infographics and storytelling played a decisive role in this process. While infographics depict highly scientific content in an easily digestible way, storytelling enables an emotional approach with personal references to daily situations around transportation.
