How can the OECD encourage due diligence and accountability in the mineral supply chain? In a vast, complex system like the mineral supply chain, it has always been a challenge to effectively engage and communicate its information not only externally, but also to the parties involved. A widely accessible, engaging digital content was a much needed tool to support the OECD experts.
The OECD and Ellery Studio created a digital platform with interactive infographics that provides an overview of the responsibilities and compliances around the supply chain. The platform can be easily accessed from anywhere around the world – from OECD Headquarters in Paris, to a mobile phone in Africa. It serves as a multipurpose educational tool be it in a workshop or at a presentation, on how the industry works and the responsibilities involved.
Concept development for an accessible economic and political communication
Development of navigation and structure of the website
Visualization of the complex supply chain
Content and design implementation of the website
Testing (UI / UX Design)
Employee internal training for the website maintenance
The digital platform allows an effective knowledge transfer on the supply chain’s framework, risks and guidelines. It is a strong driver to facilitate the guideline’s implementation.
